The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a * Flood Warning for the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman * until Sunday morning... or until the warning is cancelled. * At 5 am Thursday the stage was 115.8 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 115.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 116.9 feet tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday August 30. * This stage compares to a previous crest of 116.9 feet which occurred on Dec 27 2002.

The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a * Flood Watch for the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman * from Friday morning to late Saturday night. * At 7 am Wednesday the stage was 103.4 feet. * Minor flooding is possible. * Flood stage is 115.0 feet. * Forecast... if current forecasts hold... flood stage may be reached by Friday morning and the river may crest at 115.4 feet Friday evening.
